UPDATE ON WORSHIP SERVICES:

WE ARE BACK!

Our doors are now open for public Sunday worship services at 9:30am and 11:30am!

However, as a result of recent Government health guidelines and on instruction from the College of Bishops, all services of public worship at Saint Andrew’s, St Andrews and other Episcopal churches in our Diocese must adhere to public safety mandates.

* FACE MASKS ARE MANDATORY.

* We can accommodate up to 50 people at one time, so two services are being offered until restrictions lift.

* Please adhere to attending the service to which you have been assigned.

* Provisions for Young Church are in the works, please watch your email.

Additionally, all gatherings of groups within the congregation such as Ministry Team, Vestry, Choir, home-groups and others are cancelled for the foreseeable future, and these groups should not meet in person.

That’s the bad news!  The good news is that many groups are still meeting online.

Please check this page or our home page regularly for updates.

Sunday Services

Picture
Worship in Saint Andrew's encompasses a number of different forms and styles, drawing creatively on the rich liturgical and musical heritage of Anglicanism in conjunction with a range of wider Christian sources.

A feature of morning worship in Saint Andrew's is the ministry of preaching and teaching which lies at its heart.

Prior to the pandemic, upwards of 100 members gathered around the Lord's table to share in the Eucharist together during our main Sunday service. This service is normally led by a robed choir and a team of worship leaders, lay and clerical, and incorporated contemporary liturgies and a wide variety of musical styles.

We look forward to the day we can resume these features of our Sunday service.

One of the delights of Anglican worship is its choral tradition, especially in its settings of the daily offices. Saint Andrew's has a long and distinguished heritage in offering the service of Choral Evensong weekly at 5pm on Sundays throughout most months of the year. This quiet, reflective service includes prayers, readings from Scripture and choral settings of the evening office. A tonic for the hustle and bustle of the week, and an opportunity to realign our lives with God's purposes and promises.

***Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our public Choral Evensong service has been replaced with Choral Evensinging online via Zoom. Please contact the Rector for the link.***

All are ensured of a warm welcome at any of our Sunday services.
